Management Analysis System (MAS)
1999 saw the introduction of our new Management Analysis System (MAS). This add-on system is a data warehouse, decision support, and customer management/retention system, designed around an Oracle database. The enclosed brochure outlines the basic functions of the software. The MAS system receives data from the Turnkey Feedyard Accounting and Management System daily. The details from each cattle or feed transaction are transferred to the MAS for a graphical presentation of the data. Interactive charts, graphs, and drill down fields allow for easier access and analysis of critical management data. Exception alerts are preset to notify you of conditions in your yard that are outside predetermined parameters. This allows you to spend more time fixing problems and less time looking for them. The system has analysis of customers, buyers, breed, background, condition, weights, consumption, animal health, and a host of other user defined criteria. Email capability is built in for ease of customer communication. Your consulting veterinarian and nutritionist can use this tool to provide better service to you and consequently to your customers.
Enhancement plans for the MAS system for this year include:
- Web deployment for easier access to the data.
- Additional standard reports to better analyze the information.
- Expansion of MAS to include the other Turnkey application software products.
- Provision of interfaces between third party products and the Turnkey MAS system.
- Creation of a User controlled front page to hit yard highlights topically.
Animal Medical Records Software
The Animal Medical Records software application has undergone a major rewrite and retooling. This popular tool for tracking individual animal medications and treatments has a new look and feel. New reports and easier screen manipulation highlight the changes.
Commodity/Scale Tracking System
A new add-on module for automating the receipt of grain and cattle has been developed. This system will interface to popular scales and is designed to be installed at the scale head location. Operators will be able to weigh incoming trucks and track each load. The system interfaces with the Turnkey Commodity Inventory System and the Turnkey Feed Payables System.
Internet Interface for Feedyard Data Access
Increasingly, end-users want to use Internet technology to communicate with suppliers, customers, or each other. We are dedicated to providing quality Web solutions to our clients. The Internet is changing the face of business by providing faster access to information, improvement of customer relations, and the selling of products. In conjunction with an existing Internet site, this interface allows access to predefined Feedyard data to customers and/or employees and owners, in a secure environment. Turnkey can also provide Web development services for those in need of an internet strategy.
Third Party Interface Development
In addition to the existing interfaces available with Lextron's, Micro Chemical's, and Walco's Animal Health and Bunk systems, Turnkey also has interface agreements with the following companies: eMerge Interactive, PCC, Koers-Turgeon, Ranchers Renaissance, and InterVet. Our commitment is to work with the vendors that you authorize to have access to your data. We will make best efforts to comply with reasonable data requests.
